Welsh 1000m Peaks Race

Llanberis, Gwynedd
Two challenge races, two fell races, and a relay race, over the Snowdonia National Park. The long course starts at the sea and after crossing the windswept wilderness of the Carneddau and the rocky moonscape of the Glyderau, it finishes on Mt Snowdon, having taken in the five peaks of Snowdonia and exceeding one vertical kilometre. This is a tremendous test of strength, endurance and navigational skills. There's a shorter 'half' route starting in the Ogwen valley and visiting three 1000m peaks, and new this year an exciting relay event over the long course for teams of three.
