In short:
This was my farthest distance and longest time on feet at the Snowdonia Trail marathon. 27.3 miles (cheeky) and 5,788ft of elevation gain made this a tough day on the beautiful trails

In full:
Stunning day out in the mountains, with perfect weather and a friendly bunch of runners. I stuck to my race plan for steady pacing, consistent hydration and just enough fuel to make this a really enjoyable run.

In short:
Slightly over distance trail marathon with a bit of an incline, Snowdon, near the end! Over 5000 feet of accent going near, but not quite, to the top of Snowdon in mile 22. The weather was kind on the day, they even relaxed the mandatory kit so I did not have to carry too much. Just a bit hot at the start and a bit cold at the top. My second marathon this month with a faster time than Boston. I seem to run a lot quicker if I don’t waste an hour in a medical tent!
