An incredible leg burning, lung-busting ascent from sea level to summit. Participants will follow a marked course gaining 1000m of height in less than 5km. Whilst physically arduous, this route does not include technical terrain that requires scrambling or rock climbing experience, and as such, is suitable for any runner who is up for the challenge. However, the route traverses high and remote mountainous terrain and the quickest option to return to the safety of the valley is to reverse the race route. There is no easy get out! The Mamores are a group of mountains in the Lochaber area of the Grampian Mountains in the Scottish Highlands.
