In short:
A flat fast course and good weather made conditions great. Happy with the results and the short holiday in Malaga.

In short:
A nice little "training run" under clear blue skies and sunshine!

This marked my return to Malaga after being forced to drop out last year due to injury. Sandwiched in between New York marathon 5 weeks ago and Tokyo in 12 weeks time it was supposed to be a "training run". My pre-race plan to "run easy with the 3:45 pacer" lasted all of 3kms to an inviting downhill section where I thought I'd 'stretch my legs a litte' before tucking back in with the pacer...hmmm... never saw him again! However I enjoyed a lovely run on a glorious sunny day escaping the wind, rain and cold in the UK. And despite pushing a little faster than planned it still felt pretty easy although my legs didn't thank me too much for the last 3 miles or so. All in all very happy with the way my day went to round off my 5th marathon of the year!

In short:
Ideal weather, sunny, blue skies, lots of crowd support, interesting course and my 10th sub 3 marathon on the bounce, a run that started with a 2:50 in Manchester 2017, and marathons in European cities I've not previously visited including Munich, Barcelona, Berlin, Valencia, Las Palmas and now Malaga. I am 54. Loved them all.
