Windy last long run before Manchester. Smallish field and fairly busy public paths but really pleased with effort.
After 270 marathons back in November I committed to putting everything into my first sub three hour attempt. Following the Pfitzinger and Douglas plan I have run over 1300 miles, lots of strength work and lost sone weight and this was my last long run before tapering. 16 miles hard then ten miles easier have me a good indication of where I am. Notveasy running pretty much solo from the gun andcdone very strong winds plus lots of people out and sbout. But delighted with this run and how training has gone. Just the taper to get right now. Fingers crossed for a first sub 3.
