In short:
A brisk, windy morning in Houston, but near perfect conditions for a run through the city. Unfortunately, it wasn't my day.

In full:
I came through the first half marathon in 1:20 and things were going to plan. That continued until the 25km mark when the wheels started to come off. It was a long slog to the finish from there, as I ran near perfect positive splits for the final 16km. Not the result I was hoping for, but it was good enough for an A seed at Comrades. This was my first race since finishing the Tor des Geants last September, and I'm happy to have a bit of speed back in my legs.

In short:
Marathon Debut. Freezing temperatures led to great racing conditions once we got moving. Plan was to get to half way feeling good (74:29) then pushed home to the finish in what was my second fastest half marathon ever.

In full:
Unofficial result. Chip may have been dodgy. Got 2:25:30 on the Houston marathon app and on my watch. Hopefully will reclaim those precious seconds! Happy with 37th place and first (though possibly only) Brit!
