Marathon Talk Run Camp 2018

Welcome to the 5th annual Marathon Talk Run Camp with 5 time Olympian Jo Pavey!
This is our annual opportunity to get together and share running stories, connect with old friends and make new ones, laugh with each other, oh, and do some running!

When – February Friday 23rd, Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th 2018.
Where – Sandy Balls Holiday Centre, New Forest, Hampshire

How much – £195.00 per person

You can stay for 1, 2 or 3 nights (but the cost is the same).

What will we do? Running.
You can do as much or as little running as you like whilst with us over the weekend.
There’s no pressure to join in everything and everything can be done at your own level of fitness and mojo!
On Saturday morning it’s customary for us to be parkrun tourists and pop along to one of the local parkrun in Moors Valley. We’ll almost certainly top this off with coffee afterwards in the cafe. We’ll have a coaching workshop early afternoon followed by a group coached run workout in the forest nearby.
Saturday late night easy run. Bring a head torch and join us for a night 5k run in the forest.
Sunday distance event – current possibilities include a half marathon race and our ‘Eliminator’ Run plus, we’ll have choices of long guided runs.
All of our runs will be suitable for everyone, cater for all abilities, as hard or as easy as you want them to be. We’ll focus on looking after each other and having fun.
Eating.
Lodges are self catering, all have a fully equipped kitchen. Some meals are provided in the camp cost.
Saturday buffet style evening meal provided. (Dietary considerations available on booking)
Sunday carvery will be provided.
Scooby snacks and breakfast you’ll need to provide (although their is a shop and pub on site!)
Other things.
Special Guest! This years campers are in for a special treat as we’ll be joined by five time Olympian, European Champion and all round Super Mum and super star, the legendary Jo Pavey!
We’ll also have the infamous Marathon Talk Saturday Quiz night and for those that arrive on Friday a fire pit and marshmallows (weather permitting!).
The camp closes on Sunday afternoon but you’re free to stay at Sandy Balls until departure on Monday morning.
We’d love to see you at the 5th Marathon Talk Run Camp.
It does sell out pretty quickly so if you want to come and have a great weekend of running and laughing with like-minded, friendly people then book soon!
Notes
*These are ‘cabins in the woods’.  They are basic but brilliant for runners.  It’s relaxed and informal and accommodation is on a shared basis.  Rooms are either double or twin rooms.  Don’t panic – you won’t be sharing with anyone in a double room (!) unless you request it at the time of booking. Twin rooms are always shared with same gender.
Group bookings: Please advise when booking if you are coming as a group and we’ll do our best (but it might not always be possible!) to put you in the same lodge or lodges close together. If you’re coming on your own, that’s just fine too.  We look after everyone.
* T&C’s.  Payment required in full in advance. Payments cannot be refunded (but places can be transferred).
