Quite a few bottlenecks at the beginning but overall a well organised event.

In short: Well organised hot race

In full: Wasnt overly happy with the blazing sunshine and blue skies but a great race. Got to 1 minute from my PB on a firmly tough course and had forgotten my inhaler so overall I'm pleased!!! Well done everyone who took part!

In short: It's what it says it is, a "Fun Run", nice atmosphere at the start. Nice finish line on the Headrow.

In full: Was a nice party atmosphere in Millennium Square pre race, two gorgeous babes leading the warmup routine, definite bonus :) Not enough portaloos for 12,000 people, get some of the male urinal blocks for next year. Very busy at the start, no timing pens meant lots of fun runners were near the front. Great to see so many people running for charity, hopefully tons of money was raised.

In short: Pulled my calf muscle last week so hopped round! Sunny and hot not wet and cloudy as forecast! My 5th time so I knew what it would be like.

In full: This is a charity run rather than a race so it's all about raising money for good causes rather than getting good times. It's quite wonderful to see so many people pounding down Meanwood Road supporting so many great causes. The weather forecast was cool, wet and cloudy but it couldn't have been more wrong! The skies cleared just before the start and the sun shone and the temperature hit 21°C before the end. I've even got a slight touch of sunburn on my shoulders! It all made it a bit tougher than expected. Great support all the way round with lots of enthusiastic marshalls. Would have preferred a technical t-shirt rather than a cotton one and adding in a tiny packet of raisins and a minute fruit stick doesn't really make it a goody bag! Nice chunky medal though. Despite having an injury I decided I'd go into the sub 45 minute pen to try and avoid the bottlenecks at the start. So when I managed to get round in 42:39 I didn't feel too guilty!

In short: A most enjoyable morning.

In full: Liked the warm up in Millenium Square with Gayle from Real Radio there too. Didn't like the fact there were no timing pens, which meant bottle necks and people walking in the bottle necks too.GRRRR thats a big bugbear. Family and friends ran together (Unlike Race for Life) so it was a really great Day. Was hoping to beat my best of mid 48, so i was well chuffed.

    Ken Fox Says:

There were timing pens - I was in one - but only for the Green Numbers, i.e. people who had indicated a sub 45 minute time on their entry form. I got allocated a Red Number a couple of years ago and it was indeed rather frustrating to get stuck behind a huge wadge of fun runners in fancy dress that walked all the way up the Headrow and half way down Vicar Lane. I was halfway up Great George Street before I really got going! If you get a Red Number again but want to try and run a good time the best bet is to blag your way into the Green Numbers area and slot in at the back of the sub 45 minute pen.

PB over the distance great atmosphere but the corporate teams that start at the front despite varying ability slow. Charity the winner

    In short: Hot.

In full: Enjoyed this even though it was not as flat as I like! Great support and atmosphere, plenty of charity runners near the front at the start to stop you going off too fast! But what happened to the rain? Instead I got a tan- too hot for me!

Good run. Some way off PB but great atmosphere. Headrow finish is always worth battling the crowds for during the race.

My first race 10K event. Could think of anywhere I'd rather have done it :)
