The London 2012 Olympic Games has produced some stunning performances so far. Jason has been in the Olympic Stadium all week and so we bring you event review, comment and analysis. We look back at 'Super Saturday'. Usain Bolt retains his 100m title. Felix Sanchez surprises, Sally Pearson delivers and Christine Ohuruogu claims silver. Sally Pearson brings us her post race thoughts and Jason finds out how Jess Ennis recovers.

Welcome to Episode 5 of The Athletics Show!
The track and field kicked off in simply amazing style on Friday August 3rd with day 1 of the heptathlon for the golden girl and poster icon of the Games, Jess Ennis. Who could have known that the following day would be historic for British athletics and the greatest day in our track and field history

- Usain Bolt retains his title.
- Super Saturday Great Britain won three gold medals with Jessica Ennis in the heptathlon, Mo Farah in the 5000m and Greg Rutherford in the long jump.
- Sanya Richards-Ross won a thrilling 400m final against reigning Olympic champion Christine Ohuruogu.
- Robbie Grabarz took high jump bronze behind winner Ivan Ukhov.
- Sally Pearson smashed the Olympic record to win the sprint hurdles in 12.35.
- Ethiopians Tirunesh Dibaba and Tiki Gelana won the women’s 10,000m and marathon.
- Felix Sanchez captured the 400m hurdles title – eight years after he won in Athens.

- With a score of 6955, Jess Ennis smashed her British record by 49 points to take Gold.
- Mo Farah became the first British man to win the 10000m.
- Greg Rutherford leapt to long jump glory.
- Bolt retained his 100m title.
- Sanya Richards-Ross ran a well judged 400m to win in 49.55 as Christine Ohuruogu stormed down finishing straight in trademark style to get silver.
- Felix Sanchez was the winner of the 400mH in 47.63 – the same time he ran to win 2004 title in Athens!
- Grabarz grabs bronze, Ethiopians dominate distance, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce retains 100m title and Sally Pearson goes one better than Beijing. Dai Greene out of the medals.

- Lots of excitement still to come including the men's 200m, mens decathlon, mens triple Jump (it won't feature Idowu), women's javelin (it won't feature Sayers), on Saturday 11th Mo looks for double gold in the 5000m and on the final day the mens marathon hits the streets of London.
